About Patterson Historical Museum

Patterson Historical Museum, housed in the Center Building at Circle Plaza in downtown Patterson, preserves and shares the history of the Patterson area. The museum occupies a 1910 building that originally served as the Patterson Ranch Company Office, used for sales of lots, businesses, and farms. Visitors explore exhibits and collections that document local families, businesses, clubs, and area events. The Patterson Township Historical Society also publishes The Gateway, an annual informational publication featuring photographs and historical narratives spanning over 30 issues since 1978, totaling more than 300 pages of regional history. Members receive The Gateway along with quarterly issues of the newsletter Spokes. The museum welcomes researchers and visitors interested in Patterson's past. The facility also maintains a Research Center and offers tours. The Historical Society invites volunteers and docents to participate in special events and museum operations in Patterson, California.
