About Modesto Children's Museum

Modesto Children's Museum is a hands-on learning space where visitors board a high-speed train powered by stories and light, control water's journey from cloud to field with interactive splashing, explore an invention lab where mistakes spark discovery, perform on stage, and climb through heroic aerial adventures. The museum's exhibits center on observations, questions, testing ideas, imaginative play, independence, and stepping into adult roles through dress-up and other interactive experiences. Designed by child development experts and staffed by play-based learning educators, the museum serves children and their caregivers through field trips, outreach programs, family nights, and camps. A visit involves playing, climbing, sliding, crafting, and crawling through spaces created by nonprofit educators focused on creativity and lifelong learning. The museum is located in downtown Modesto, California. Families receiving SNAP or EBT benefits qualify for half-price admission for children ages one and up and adults, as verified on modestochildrensmuseum.org.
