About National Underground Railroad Freedom Center

National Underground Railroad Freedom Center features the special exhibit Witness to the Journey: Matt Herron and the Deep South, 1965, which presents photographer Matt Herron's documentation of the voting rights struggle through his lens. Visitors explore museum galleries that tell the history of the Underground Railroad and its significance. The center hosts community programming and educational events throughout the year, including Juneteenth celebrations that draw thousands of attendees. Online learning resources support educators and students studying this history. The Freedom Center offers membership options for individuals, seniors, and families, which provide unlimited general admission and other benefits. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website. Located in Cincinnati, Ohio, the museum also offers free admission on select community days each month, as well as on MLK Day and Juneteenth. The documentary "Truth, Trauma, Triumph" explores the museum's founding and mission.
