About National Underground Railroad Freedom Center

National Underground Railroad Freedom Center features permanent and traveling exhibits that share stories of freedom's heroes from the Underground Railroad era through contemporary times. Visitors witness photography collections such as Matt Herron's documentation of the voting rights struggle in the Deep South. The museum challenges and inspires through its galleries, which include exhibit films shown throughout the day. A typical visit lasts three to four hours. The center hosts community programs and special events including Juneteenth celebrations. Online learning resources support educators and learners beyond the museum walls. Located in downtown Cincinnati on the banks of the Ohio River, the Freedom Center opens Wednesday through Sunday. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website, and the museum offers free admission days throughout the month.
