About National Border Patrol Museum

The National Border Patrol Museum in El Paso preserves more than eighty years of United States Border Patrol history through exhibits and artifacts. Visitors explore the Vehicles of the Border Patrol exhibit, which displays operational equipment used along the border, and the Uniforms of the Border Patrol exhibit presenting historical dress worn by agents across different eras. The Weapons exhibit showcases firearms in the Media Room while a larger collection undergoes updates. The museum features Agent Memorials honoring those who served and documents special units including BORTAC, a tactical unit based in El Paso that responds to dangerous situations worldwide, and BORSTAR, created in the 1990s to conduct desert rescues and swift water rescues in remote border regions. Group tours are available by arrangement. The museum is the only National Border Patrol Museum in the United States and receives no federal funding.
