About Mt Healthy Historical Society

The Mt. Healthy Historical Society operates a museum dedicated to preserving the heritage of this historic Cincinnati community. Visitors explore two buildings located south of the city park: the museum building, which was Mt. Healthy's original Free Meeting House constructed in 1825, and a tollhouse built in 1859. The Free Meeting House was saved by local residents in 1962, moved to its current location, and restored in 1964 before becoming a museum. The society functions as a research and educational resource, offering visitors insight into Mt. Healthy's local history through its collections and exhibits. The all-volunteer organization meets monthly and welcomes those interested in community heritage and historical preservation. The society also sells Mt. Healthy-themed Monopoly-style games. Visitors can tour the buildings on most Saturdays or arrange appointments to explore the exhibits and learn about the area's past.
