Visitors explore the park by touring individual museums housed in these structures or by joining guided history walks that depart from the Custom House multiple times daily and last approximately one hour. The gardens remain open daily, weather permitting. Guided tours cover Monterey's rich multicultural heritage through exhibits and house tours within the restored buildings. The park suits history enthusiasts and those interested in California's early settlement and government. Dogs are welcome on the grounds but not inside the buildings.
