About Lost River Caverns

Lost River Caverns is a natural limestone cavern in Hellertown, Pennsylvania, where visitors take guided walking tours lasting 30 to 45 minutes. The tours explore the cave's passages and an underground river while guides discuss the geology of the cavern formations and the history of the property and surrounding community. The cavern has been open to the public since 1930. Visitors walk on installed pathways and view natural rock formations throughout the cave, including a chamber known as the Crystal Chapel. The property also houses Gilman's "At The Cave," a full-service jewelry and lapidary supply store selling precious and semi-precious stones, crystals, minerals, jewelry-making findings, tools, and equipment. The shop also offers a variety of souvenir items. Tours are available for visitors of all ages, and the venue offers group rates with advance reservation. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website.
