Lighthouse Kids Playroom is an indoor play space in Coal City where young children explore a world of toys, dress-up clothes, and pretend play activities while their caregivers supervise. The facility is designed for toddlers and preschoolers to use their imaginations and create memories in a managed environment where staff handle cleanup afterward. Parents remain present throughout the visit to watch their children as they move through the various play areas and activities the venue offers. The playroom originated from a family legacy dating to 1998, when a grandmother opened a daycare center in nearby Channahon that became beloved in the community. The current owner reimagined that concept into a dedicated play space focused on exploration and imagination for young visitors. The venue charges admission and publishes its prices online. Hours vary week to week, and the facility welcomes walk-in visitors, though calling ahead is encouraged as capacity limits apply.
Hours: Mon: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM; Tue–Sat: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM; Sun: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PMHours via Google Maps
