About Kristy's Barn

Kristy's Barn is a working farm in Castleton-on-Hudson where visitors pick their own fruits and vegetables directly from the fields, then browse the farm stand for locally grown produce and specialty items. The operation spans over 300 acres and has been in continuous production since 1910. Families can harvest strawberries, peaches, and other seasonal crops during pick-your-own outings, while the on-farm stand stocks produce grown here along with regionally sourced goods. The barn also produces its own harvest baking mixes featuring seasonal ingredients. Fall activities include special seasonal programs and events for families and groups. The farm operates using low-spray and no-spray practices, and has powered its operations with solar energy since 2010. A visit suits families seeking direct farm experience and fresh, locally grown food, located just ten minutes from Albany.
