About Johnson STEM Activity Center
Johnson STEM Activity Center in Atlanta empowers students through hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math programs. Visitors participate in robotics projects, computer programming classes, and e-sports activities in the facility's dedicated computer lab. The center features a Virtual Reality Creator's Zone where students explore immersive technology experiences. A highlight is the Science on a Sphere exhibit, one of only two in Georgia, which visualizes planetary data and scientific phenomena. The center serves elementary, middle, and high school students from across the Atlanta metropolitan area and Georgia through after-school programs, classes, and community initiatives. Founded by former NASA engineer and inventor Dr. Lonnie Johnson, the center focuses on building problem-solving skills and innovation. The programs suit students at all experience levels, from beginners to advanced learners, and operate in Atlanta, Georgia.
