About Jefferies Orchard

Jefferies Orchard is a family-owned farm and country market five miles north of Springfield, Illinois, where visitors pick seasonal produce and browse a stocked market. The orchard grows tomatoes, squash, eggplant, peppers and apples including Honeycrisp and Pixie Crunch varieties, along with raw local honey. The market carries gourmet food brands such as Stonewall Kitchen jams and sauces, Dillman Farms pickles, Country Home Creations mixes and hot sauces from Gindo's Spice of Life. Artisanal soaps, beeswax candles and lip balms from local women-owned makers line the shelves alongside cookbooks featuring recipes for cider, bowls, sheet pan suppers and honey. Seasonal activities include apple cider slushies and pumpkin painting. The Jefferies family has farmed the same land near the Sangamon River for seven generations, growing fresh produce for over 75 years and specializing in items picked at peak ripeness.
