About Holiday Habits

Holiday Habits in Huntley, Illinois began with a passion for seasonal decorating and expanded into a destination known for elaborate holiday displays and outdoor lighting installations. Visitors explore Christmas light displays and the Georgian Place parkway-tree tradition, which features trees illuminated with coordinated seasonal lighting. The venue also maintains an archive of decades of Halloween props, scares, videos and memories from twenty-five years of operating a yard haunt that featured handmade props, fog, lighting effects and live actors. Holiday Habits now offers permanent outdoor lighting installations that transform homes for Christmas, Halloween and other celebrations without requiring seasonal reinstallation. The business creates seasonal and architectural lighting designs and publishes how-to guides on topics including parkway tree setup and permanent lighting installation. Families interested in holiday decorating, neighborhood lighting traditions and the history of the property's elaborate seasonal displays find resources and inspiration here.
