About Hatcher Family Dairy

Hatcher Family Dairy operates a pastoral livestock operation in College Grove where cows graze on pasture 365 days a year to produce grass-fed milk. The farm bottles non-homogenized whole milk the old-fashioned way, allowing cream to rise naturally to the top. Visitors stop at the farm store for fresh milk, natural beef, eggs, ice cream, baked goods, and local products. Guided tours let families and school groups see firsthand how the dairy produces milk using traditional methods. The farm has operated continuously since 1819 and began bottling its own milk in 2009. Tours are designed for anyone wanting to understand how grass-fed cows and non-homogenized milk differ from conventional dairy farming. The operation remains family-owned and operated, with each generation committed to preserving the farm's heritage and stewardship practices while serving Middle Tennessee communities through over 60 retail vendors.
