About Harrisburg, Lincoln and Lancaster Railroad
The Harrisburg, Lincoln & Lancaster Railroad in Elizabethtown offers nostalgic train rides aboard historically themed rail cars. Visitors board the Pioneer Coach, a 40-seat day coach replica built in 2019 based on an 1848 design. The Combine Coach, a 53-foot car seating 42, features a baggage compartment with sliding doors, cast iron walk-over seats with leather upholstery, brass lamp fixtures, and an authentic coal stove. The centerpiece is the Lincoln Funeral Car, a replica of the private rail car originally built for President Lincoln in 1865. The Funeral Car is displayed in the Engine House and Lincoln Museum. The cars showcase period details including walnut and oak interiors, brass luggage racks, and open platforms. Visitors explore the museum exhibits alongside the restored rail cars. A visit suits those interested in Civil War history and 19th-century railroad transportation. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website.
