About Hanover Area History Museum

Hanover Area History Museum occupies a former carriage house located behind the Warehime-Myers Mansion in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Visitors explore three galleries arranged chronologically that chronicle more than 250 years of local history through carefully researched storylines about families, industries and events. The museum features informational panels, interactive displays and a touchscreen monitor offering additional details about selected stories throughout the galleries. The converted carriage house retains its original exterior while its former horse, auto and maintenance bays now contain the exhibition spaces. A museum committee member is available to assist visitors during their self-guided tour. The facility includes a gift shop located in a former storage room adjacent to Gallery 2. Parking is available in the museum lot on the east side of Doss Alley, with limited handicap parking near the carriage house. The museum is fully accessible to visitors.
