About Gold Country Fairgrounds & Event Center

Gold Country Fairgrounds & Event Center hosts the annual Gold Country Fair, where visitors ride the Butler Amusements Carnival attractions, explore livestock barns filled with cattle, swine, sheep, and poultry raised by local youth exhibitors, and watch live music across multiple stages. Kids World offers rides and games for younger guests, while Brad's World Reptiles in the Sierra Building features educational reptile encounters. The Demo Derby takes place in the stadium, and the Armory Building hosts an RC remote-control track and RV exhibits. Still exhibits showcase local artwork, baked goods, photography, and textiles throughout the fairgrounds. The venue charges admission with discounted rates for children and seniors; tickets are sold online. In Auburn, California, children 12 and under receive free admission on Thursdays with all other ages paying a reduced rate that day.
