About Festival Fright Nights

Festival Fright Nights transforms the Winchester Mystery House estate in San Jose into an immersive horror experience across four festival zones featuring thirteen attractions and experiences. Visitors navigate haunted houses inside the historic mansion itself, including The Greenhouse with its twisted roots and strange creatures, The Estate depicting staff consumed by darkness, and The Butler's Watch where a loyal servant attempts to contain spreading spirits. Additional experiences include The Underhouse, where visitors encounter The Collector in the shadows, and The Attic, where unseen children invite guests into their long-anticipated games. The festival also features Harry Houdini presents "Do Spirits Exist," a theatrical seated experience, alongside seasonal food and drink offerings and photo opportunities scattered throughout the grounds. The 1926-era setting frames the entire experience as something awakens at the Winchester estate following Sarah Winchester's death.
