Escape on Purpose, Durham

About Escape on Purpose

Escape on Purpose is a real-life escape room game for groups of three to ten people in Durham, North Carolina. Visitors work as a team to find clues, solve puzzles, and conquer challenges while racing to escape the room within 60 minutes. The venue offers multiple themed rooms, including Mission: Submarine Attack, where players must launch a torpedo to protect their disabled submarine before enemy forces return, and Starship Mission, where players must unlock a transporter room door to beam themselves to safety after a warp core breach. The attraction suits corporate team building events, friend and family groups, parties, and tourists new to the area. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website. The business supports three charities—Wounded Warriors, Step Up Durham, and Independent Animal Rescue—with visitors selecting a charity during checkout to direct a portion of profits toward their chosen organization.
