Elkhorn Slough Safari operates boat cruises through California's Elkhorn Slough wetland near Moss Landing. Visitors board boats at A Dock in Moss Landing South Harbor for relaxing cruises on calm waters led by Captains and Naturalists. The tours focus on observing playful Sea Otters, Seals, and hundreds of bird species including Brandt's Cormorants, Great Egrets, and Eared Grebes. The Slough supports the highest concentration of Southern Sea Otters in the world. The locally owned and operated attraction has guided visitors for 30 years. Specialty tours include Sea Otter Focus Tours, two-hour excursions exploring Sea Otter habits, history, and physiology alongside conservation efforts. Photo Safaris are also available. These experiences combine close encounters with marine mammals and coastal birds in their natural habitat, offering wildlife observers opportunities to study the wetland's diverse ecosystems and resident species during guided water-based exploration.
