About Corona Model Railroad Society
Corona Model Railroad Society in Corona, California displays model train layouts and railroad artifacts featuring detailed mini dioramas. Visitors tour the layout exhibits, which include miniature scenes depicting historical railroad operations and a Highway Patrol film location scene inspired by the 1950s television series. The society preserves original depot signage salvaged from Corona's railroad history and displays photographs documenting the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway's operations in the area. The collection includes images from 1963 showing railroad work trains, cranes, and track removal operations that once served Corona's industrial spurs. The society also features a specially modified 1955 Buick Century replica patrol car from the Highway Patrol television show as part of its exhibits. Model railroad enthusiasts and visitors interested in local railroad heritage and vintage television memorabilia find the detailed miniature scenes and historical artifacts engaging.
