About Great Park Carousel

The Great Park Balloon and Carousel in Irvine offers observation experiences above the park's landscape. The Great Park Balloon rises 400 feet to provide a public observation deck with a 360-degree view spanning 40 miles on clear days. Visitors board on a first-come, first-served basis, with flight durations ranging from 10 to 12 minutes. Check-in begins 30 minutes before each session. All riders must complete an online waiver the same day of flight. Children younger than 13 must be accompanied by an adult, and the balloon accommodates wheelchair users and electric convenience vehicles, allowing guests to remain in their seats during flight. Wait times may extend up to three hours depending on demand, and flights operate weather permitting with no guarantees. The attraction has no age or height restrictions for riders.
