Computer History Museum in Mountain View explores the innovations that shaped Silicon Valley and the nation. Visitors walk through 19 galleries in the permanent exhibit Revolution, which features 1,100 objects and stories from computing pioneers. The museum displays rare Apple prototypes including the Apple I, Apple IIc, Lisa, Macintosh, Newton, iPod, and iPhone. Current exhibits include Chatbots Decoded, where visitors can interact with chatbot-powered robots and hear from experts about artificial intelligence, and Make Software, which explores seven game-changing applications from MP3 to World of Warcraft. The museum also houses Charles Babbage's Difference Engine No. 2, an 8,000-part machine that weighs five tons. Docent-led tours guide visitors through the collections.
