Coastal Excursions operates private boat charters from Madeira Beach, allowing visitors to design their own itinerary on the water. Guests board either a 24-inch Boston Whaler with cushioned seating and a large T-top, accommodating up to six people, or a 22-foot Sweetwater Pontoon with plush lounge seating and a JL Audio sound system, accommodating up to nine. From convenient pickup locations, captains navigate the intercoastal waterways toward John's Pass and barrier islands. Visitors can anchor at sandbars to swim, island hop and search for shells, snorkel in shallow waters, watch for dolphins and manatees, or simply cruise while watching the sunset. Each boat includes a cooler for drinks and snacks. The captains, who grew up navigating these Tampa Bay waters, share local knowledge and adjust routes based on weather and wildlife sightings.
