The Christian Waldschmidt Homestead Museum in Camp Dennison, Ohio preserves a 1794 settlement founded by American Revolution veteran Christian Waldschmidt near the Little Miami River. The property includes a Civil War Museum housed in the original stone guard house, documenting the site's use as Camp Dennison during the Civil War, when it served as a mustering center and hospital. The Welcome Center displays primitive stone cutting and farm tools alongside a Conestoga wagon, President Garfield's surrey, and a Civil War-era farm wagon. Exhibits detail Waldschmidt's enterprises, including a store, church, school, lumber mill, paper mill, grist mill, fulling mill, and distillery that shaped the community. The Welcome Center hosts meetings and special events for community groups. Tours are conducted Sunday afternoons.
