About California Botanic Garden

California Botanic Garden operates 86 acres of native plant collections in Claremont, where visitors walk trails through chaparral, desert, woodland, and meadow habitats. The garden maintains a living collection, herbarium, seed bank, and library archives focused on California's native flora. Guided walks and tours explore the landscape, while exhibitions and classes run throughout the year. School programs and a Learn at Home series extend access to students and families. The Grow Native Nursery on-site sells native plants, and a restoration nursery supports conservation work. Visitors interested in biodiversity science can attend seminars, and researchers pursue graduate studies in plant conservation and field science.
