About California Botanic Garden

California Botanic Garden in Claremont showcases native California plants across 86 acres of cultivated and natural landscapes. Visitors walk through garden collections, attend guided walks and tours, and explore exhibitions on the grounds. The venue offers events and classes for adults and children, plus school tours and programs for groups. A Grow Native Nursery on site sells native plants suited to California gardens. The garden also maintains a Restoration Nursery, Seed Bank, Herbarium, and Library & Archives supporting conservation and research work. Admission is free on Martin Luther King Day (third Monday in January), Pollinator Week Free Day (Tuesday, June 23rd), California Biodiversity Day (select date in September), and Green Friday (the day after Thanksgiving in November). SNAP and EBT cardholders with valid photo ID receive free admission plus four immediate household members. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website at calbg.org.
