If your planning on taking a picnic be aware sandwiches are NOT permitted. Bit random I know lol. But you are allowed to take all kinds of snacks, just no sandwiches.

With more rollercoasters per square foot than any other UK theme park (including the fastest in the country), any self-respecting thrill seeker will tell you that Blackpool Pleasure Beach is a must-visit.

If it’s an adrenaline rush you’re after, hang onto your hats as you’re blasted around The Big One at highs of 137kph or take on the competition on Grand National (Europe’s only twin-track racing coaster). Be sure to check out ENSŌ too – it’s the new (and exclusive) way to ride ICON where the seats can spin and twist freely. Feeling dizzy yet?

For any kids in tow, Paw Patrol and Dora the Explorer keep them busy at Nickelodeon Land, while you wonder how SpongeBob squeezes into those square pants for his shift. Plenty of talcum powder we reckon.

The excitement doesn’t stop when the sun goes down either. Evening entertainment includes ice shows and costume spectaculars like the Circus of Horrors. Too tame? Take a guided walk up The Big One when the coaster’s not running. Gulp.

When is Blackpool Pleasure Beach open?

The main season runs from March – November plus occasional seasonal events.

The parks open at 10am and closing times range from 6 – 9pm but this changes throughout the season so please check the official website. The ticket centre opens 30 minutes before the park and ride openings are staggered. Nickelodeon Land usually closes one hour before the main rides. ‘Closing time’ means the last time you can join the queue for a ride.

Are there security checks at Blackpool Pleasure Beach?

Yep, security checks take place at the entrance. To make things easier, leave large bags (anything bigger than A4) at home.
