The Bay Education Center in Rockport, Texas explores the Mission-Aransas Estuary and coastal habitats through interactive exhibits and programs. Visitors encounter Science On A Sphere, a three-dimensional digital globe developed by NOAA that displays Earth science content including global air temperature changes, hurricane tracking, ocean circulation patterns, and space perspectives on human transportation routes. The center offers Discovery Discussions where interpreters present engaging topics spanning land, air, space, and sea. Field trip programs for K-12 groups feature exhibit scavenger hunts paired with Science On A Sphere presentations, with options to include hands-on activities. Adult groups of ten to fifty can arrange private tours combining self-guided exhibit walks with Science On A Sphere screenings. Science On A Sphere presentations occur daily at two o'clock. The center serves students, homeschool groups, and adult visitors interested in learning how estuaries and coastal resources connect to daily life and regional ecology.
Admission is free. The venue says: “Admission Free”
