The farm dates to an 1830s land grant and includes a restored barn built from hand-hewn native timbers with Greek Revival architectural details, a historic house, a carriage house, machinery shed, brooder and hatchery, chicken coups, and eight outbuildings forming a courtyard area. The structures were designed by notable local architect George Netcher and have been preserved after the property faced demolition seven years ago. Visitors explore the buildings and grounds to learn about life on the Ohio frontier where Native Americans once traveled and settlers established Old Fort Seneca nearby. The farm continues restoration efforts on its various structures to share its heritage with guests interested in early American agricultural and architectural history.
