About Weed Museum

Weed Historic Lumber Town Museum is a collection of artifacts and photographs documenting the people who founded and built the community of Weed. Visitors explore exhibits displaying items from the old lumber company store and company hospital. Several rooms are decorated with original pieces to recreate a typical home from the early 1900s, while a separate room dedicated to law enforcement features jail cells and a booking area. The museum displays logging implements and hand tools used in the mills, including lumber tram cars and locomotives that moved timber through the mill yards. The collection also includes two American LaFrance fire engines, now over 100 years old, with one fully restored and one unrestored. The museum operates in Weed, California, and serves visitors interested in local history and the region's lumber industry heritage.
