Walter Jones Historic Park in Jacksonville preserves a 10-acre homestead on the St. Johns River where visitors tour restored buildings spanning from 1875 to 1892. The Webb-Jones Farmhouse, furnished to reflect life in the late 1890s and early 1900s, opens for public tours and shows how the property's original owner, Major William Webb, cultivated oranges, potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, and beans for shipment north on steamships. The park also features the 1876 Barn, the 1892 Losco Winery, St. Joseph's Mission Schoolhouse for African American Children, and the Wheeler Sawmill. Beyond the historic structures, the park includes shaded paved nature trails, a riverfront boardwalk along the St. Johns River, a picnic area, and restrooms. The combination of restored farm buildings, educational exhibits, and outdoor spaces suits visitors interested in local history and riverside recreation in Jacksonville's Mandarin neighborhood.
Walter Jones Historic Park publishes its own offers, and when mandarinmuseum.org was last read, on , there was none.
The page stays here because the attraction is still worth knowing about, and because we keep checking. If a deal appears on their site, it appears here.
