The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens in Jacksonville displays more than 5,000 works of art, grown from Ninah Cummer's original collection of 60 pieces bequeathed to the museum in 1958. Visitors explore galleries of special exhibitions and historically significant gardens set against the St. Johns River. The museum offers classes and workshops including Yoga for All in the gardens and portrait drawing instruction. A café and shop operate during museum hours, with the shop also available online. The museum is open daily except Mondays, with varying hours by day. Free admission applies on the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on the third Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and every day for SNAP EBT and WIC cardholders; children ages 5 and under enter free, and college students get free admission Tuesday through Friday. According to cummermuseum.org, general admission is $20 for adults.
