About The Original Dolphin Watch
The Original Dolphin Watch operates daily boat tours from South Padre Island where visitors observe bottlenose and spinner dolphins in their natural habitat. Tours depart from Sea Ranch Marina aboard one of two vessels: the 60-foot tour boat Double Sunshine or the 50-foot boat Diver I. The standard Dolphin Watch tour includes an educational presentation aboard the boat. Visitors can upgrade to an Eco-Tour, where the crew drags a net along the bay floor to collect marine life specimens, then presents findings on deck before continuing dolphin observation. All collected marine life is safely released back into the water. The company also offers three-hour snorkeling trips in the Laguna Madre with rental gear and a licensed in-water guide. Multiple daily departure times accommodate different schedules. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website.
