About Breakaway Cruises

Breakaway Cruises operates water-based tours and charters from South Padre Island. Visitors board USCG-certified vessels including the Xcape, Getaway, and Isabella, a 65-foot catamaran, for several distinct experiences. The Dolphin Watch cruise lasts 90 minutes and focuses on observing dolphins in their natural habitat. Bay Fishing Charters extend 3 to 4 hours and allow guests to fish the local waters. Snorkeling trips explore one of the world's largest estuaries. The Brownsville Port Cruise combines a journey through the Brownsville Ship Channel with views of cargo ships, decommissioned Navy vessels, and oil rigs undergoing repair, along with opportunities to observe bottlenose dolphins and migratory birds. A Sunset Cruise provides coastal views as daylight fades. Private charters accommodate special occasions with custom experiences. These activities suit all ages and range from 90 minutes to several hours. Breakaway Cruises operates at South Padre Island, Texas, with tickets sold online through the venue's website.
