About The Fork Inn Farm

The Fork Inn Farm is part of Big East Fork Farms, a 311-acre complex of sustainable farms in Franklin where visitors interact with animals and learn natural farming methods. The property spans greenhouses, high tunnels, pasture, and ponds across a protected valley. Guests can pet and feed Rosey the Donkey, the farm's resident protector, and encounter Winston the Cow. The farms are home to goats, chickens, ducks, bees, pigs, sheep, and cows. Visitors participate in agrotourism activities and pick-your-own produce through Pick-TN programs. The site includes hiking trails through forested woodlands and meadows. A visit suits people of all ages interested in sustainable agriculture and hands-on farm experiences. The Gateway Farmstore provides farm products on-site. Component farms including McKinney Farms, Downing Farms, and several specialty operations offer additional experiences, with support from the Center for Sustainable Stewardship, a nonprofit dedicated to training next-generation farmers.
