Tanglewood Farm Miniatures houses over 150 rare, heritage, and miniature breed therapy farm animals, some among the smallest in the world, in the rolling hills of Cherokee County at the foot of the North Georgia Mountains. Visitors interact with hand-raised animals bred for their gentle temperament and therapeutic benefits. The farm preserves foundation bloodlines of miniature breeds sourced from isolated regions worldwide and from Native American tribal lands, including heritage livestock traditionally raised by pastoralists and adapted to harsh environmental conditions. All animals are pasture-raised on fescue, bermuda, and alfalfa grass or hay, with diets supplemented by natural grains free of antibiotics, hormones, and animal by-products. The farm operates as a sustainable pastoral model emphasizing land stewardship and animal husbandry. Tanglewood Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit established by the farm, promotes conservation of rare and miniature breeds and the agricultural heritage connected to them through education and advocacy. The farm operates in Canton, Georgia. Tours last approximately 45 minutes to one hour. Do not park on Tanglewood Drive. There are no public restrooms, picnic areas, or food allowed at the farm.
