About Sterling Renaissance Festival

Sterling Renaissance Festival is a 35-acre interactive recreation of an Elizabethan English village set in 1585, where visitors watch stage performances, shop at artisan booths, and participate in games and rides. The festival features the Grand Joust A'Plaisance, a jousting tournament where knights compete for the Queen's favor. Twelve stages host over 100 performances including comedy, sword swallowing, and pub sings. The Royal Marketplace offers handmade crafts and arts. Festival Feasting provides turkey legs, steak-on-a-stake, hot apple dumplings, and strawberry shortcake, with ale and wine served from taverns and pubs. Special themed weekends throughout the summer celebrate topics ranging from pirates to Highland culture. Visitors can book the Queen's Tea, where children and adults receive lessons in proper manners while taking English Breakfast Tea from keepsake cups, or attend the five-course Royal Feast with entertainment by the Royal Court and musicians.
