About Smithe Redwoods State Natural Reserve
Smithe Redwoods State Natural Reserve features the Frank and Bess Smithe Grove of old-growth redwoods, a 60-foot waterfall, and access to the South Fork of the Eel River for fishing and swimming. Visitors hike trails through the reserve, picnic in designated areas, and explore grounds that were formerly a private resort.
