Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens is a 47-acre oceanfront botanical garden where visitors walk over 4 miles of hard-packed gravel trails through manicured gardens, dense coastal pine forests, and fern-covered canyons. The gardens display rhododendrons, dahlias, begonias, magnolias, conifers, and heathers, along with rare and endangered plants and more than 180 bird species. A visit typically requires at least 1.5 hours to see the entire property, including a half-mile walk to the ocean. The gardens host vibrant festivals, holiday traditions, and plant sales throughout the year.
