The Chandelier Drive-Thru Tree is a living redwood with a tunnel carved through its trunk, located in Leggett in Mendocino County, California. Most vehicles can drive through the opening in the tree, while those too large for the passage may use a bypass route into the parking lot. Visitors who prefer to walk through the opening are also welcome. The tree stands in Underwood Park, a memorial to Charlie and Hazel Underwood. The attraction is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to dusk, weather permitting, except on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Guests are encouraged to take photographs whether they drive or walk through the tree's opening. The site includes a gift shop on the grounds. The Chandelier Drive-Thru Tree remains alive and continues to grow, distinguishing it from other famous California tunnel trees.
Hours: Daily 8:30 a.m. to dusk (weather permitting)
