About Sam Cobb Date Farms

Sam Cobb Date Farms grows several varieties of dates, including Medjool, Barhi, and Black Gold, on a family-owned farm in Desert Hot Springs. Visitors can book a farm tour to explore the date palms, see the fruit up close, and sample the different date varieties while taking photographs. The farm also offers on-farm sales where guests can purchase fresh dates directly. Sam Cobb brings more than 47 years of agricultural knowledge and experience to the operation, producing pesticide-free dates. The dates are packaged in convenient formats, such as the Black Gold ten-pack with individual 9.5-ounce packages featuring hints of chocolate, caramel, and dark cherry. Customers can also order dates online throughout the year. The farm operates seasonally, with tours and on-farm sales available during specific months, and visitors interested in learning about date farming can schedule a visit to experience the agricultural process firsthand.
