About Roseville Historical Society
The Roseville Historical Society operates the Carnegie Museum and Archives, housed in a historic Carnegie Library building in Roseville, California. Visitors explore exhibits and collections that document local history through photographs, documents, and artifacts such as an 1878 blacksmith receipt. The museum features displays about the Maidu Village, early progress and development of the area, and notable local businesses like the Berry News Company. A research room provides access to indexed newspapers, scanned historical documents, and digitized photographs for genealogical and historical research. The organization offers quarterly presentations called "A Trek Through Time" that explore Roseville's past.
