About Pearce Collections Museum

Pearce Collections Museum houses over 15,000 Civil War documents and artifacts in Corsicana, where visitors examine photographs and three-dimensional objects from 1861 to 1865 alongside the stories of those who lived through that conflict. The museum also displays more than 44,000 prehistoric artifacts in its Hunter-Gatherers of the Blackland Prairie gallery and 250 works of Western art in a realistic style. Visitors attend special living history events featuring volunteer reenactors who demonstrate Civil War-era perspectives through first-person interpretation, and the museum plans a tabletop wargame event in partnership with the Heart of Texas Wargamers. The collection includes a special exhibition on Navarro County's Loughridge family Civil War experiences. Adults pay $8 admission; the museum publishes prices online for seniors and students.
