About Millennium Gate Museum - History Art Museum Atlanta, Georgia | Classical Architecture

The Millennium Gate Museum, the second-largest classical monument in the United States, opened in 2008 in Atlanta to preserve and interpret Georgia's history, art, culture and philanthropic heritage. Visitors explore permanent collections and temporary exhibitions alongside ancient artifacts, dioramas and immersive digital exhibitions that document the state's significant past. The museum also features statues and monuments, and traveling exhibitions that are shared with other Georgia museums. A Tea Time program offers another way to experience the space. The classical architecture itself, a triumphal arch that won the Palladio Award for design of a public space, reflects Atlanta's historic identity as the "gate city of the south." The museum welcomes over a million students annually through its educational programs. Group tours are available for visitors, and the facility accommodates weddings, corporate events and private functions. The Millennium Gate Museum is located in the heart of Atlanta and operates Tuesday through Saturday with hours and admission prices published on the venue's website, where tickets are sold online.
