About Meadville Railroad Park

Meadville Railroad Park is a museum operated by the French Creek Valley Railroad Historical Society where visitors explore railroad history through exhibits and artifacts from northwestern Pennsylvania. The museum displays full-size railroad equipment alongside detailed model railroad layouts, allowing guests to examine trains and track systems up close. Inside, visitors browse maps and drawings that document regional railroad development, view pictures and paintings of historical significance, and study model collections and collectible artifacts. The museum also houses a research library with files and materials for those investigating railroad heritage in greater depth. Video oral histories feature interviews with former railroad employees sharing firsthand accounts of their work. Hand tools, railroad appliances, and vintage signs round out the exhibits. The museum operates in Meadville, Pennsylvania, as a volunteer-run facility that welcomes the public to learn about Crawford County's rail transportation legacy.
