About Drake Well Museum & Park
Drake Well Museum and Park in Titusville, Pennsylvania, tells the story of the 1859 Drake Well strike that launched the modern petroleum industry. Visitors explore a 240-acre site featuring a board-for-board replica of Drake's engine house built around the National Historic Landmark well, an operating central power oil lease, a standard drilling rig, and 12,000 square feet of interior exhibits. The museum also operates Historic Pithole City, a vanished oil boomtown, and McClintock Well #1, the world's oldest continuously producing oil well. On-site recreation includes paved bike trails, delayed harvest fly fishing in Oil Creek, hiking trails, and picnic facilities. The museum offers special events and educational programs throughout the year. General admission is $10, with AAA members receiving $1 off and EBT cardholders admitted for $2 per person.
