About Meadville Area Recreation Complex

The Meadville Area Recreation Complex in Meadville, Pennsylvania operates the George S. DeArment Ice Arena, a regulation ice rink where visitors can participate in public skating sessions, hockey leagues, figure skating, and curling. The facility serves skaters from beginners to experienced players. During the ice season, the arena hosts Learn to Skate programs including Little Penguins classes for ages five through nine and private lessons for children and adults. The complex also offers youth and adult hockey leagues through the Crawford County Youth Hockey Association and the Meadville Bulldogs. Beyond ice skating, the recreation complex features an aquatic center with indoor and outdoor pools, walking trails, a skate park, baseball fields, tennis courts, and a community garden. The ice arena includes a heated lobby, locker rooms, restrooms, skate rentals, a pro-shop, snack bar, and skate sharpening services. The facility hosts special events including the MARF Music Festival.
