Lohstroh Family Farms is a working farm near Mount Sterling where families visit to pick pumpkins by hayride and explore seasonal activities. The farm grows corn, soybeans, wheat, hay, and livestock alongside its pumpkin operation, which has operated since 1984. Visitors ride wagons out to the pumpkin field to select and harvest their own pumpkins. The farm hosts Farm School programs focused on topics like pollinators, Sunset Sunflowers evening walks through the flowering fields, and events such as Blooms, Butterflies, and Breakfast. A Kids Entrepreneur Market showcases items made by young visitors. The on-site fall farm market offers retail shopping. The operation is family-run across three generations, with the founding couple George and Michelle, their adult children Jonathan and Christin, and the third generation now participating. A visit involves hands-on farm activities suited to families of all ages.
