Lion Bowling Center is a bowling facility in Red Lion where visitors bowl on standard lanes and bumper bowling lanes designed for children. The center offers traditional open bowling and Glow Bowling, an experience with dimmed lights, music, and special effects lighting that creates a nightclub atmosphere. The bumper lanes keep bowling balls out of the gutters, designed to help young bowlers succeed. The facility is smoke-free throughout. Lion Bowling Center opened in 1959 and has been family-owned and operated by the Zelger family since 1981. The three Zelger brothers—Mike, Dave, and Tim—serve as hands-on owners, all inducted into the York County Bowling Hall of Fame with extensive tournament experience and PBA appearances. The second generation, including Mike's son Zach and Dave's son Justin, now work at the center alongside the family operation.
