About Keough's Hot Springs

Keough's Hot Springs, established in 1919 in Bishop, California, features the largest natural hot springs pool in the Eastern Sierra. Visitors swim in a main pool fed by a waterfall cooling system and soak in a dedicated hot soaking pool. Lounge chairs accommodate sun bathing, while a snack bar provides refreshments and a picnic area offers space for gatherings. A rock garden trail winds through the grounds for quieter exploration. Summer water aerobics classes meet multiple times weekly. Overnight accommodations include camping and RV sites with electric hookups, as well as rustic furnished tent cabins equipped with antique furnishings, comfortable bedding, heaters, and mini refrigerators. Each tent cabin has a fire pit. The on-site shop stocks swimming accessories, souvenirs, and camping supplies. The location serves as a base for visitors exploring nearby Sierra fishing, Mammoth Mountain skiing, Mt. Whitney hiking, and Ancient Bristlecone Pines viewing.
