John & Annie Glenn Museum, New Concord

About John & Annie Glenn Museum

John & Annie Glenn Museum features a living history experience on its first floor where a period actor welcomes visitors into the home as if they have just stopped by, transporting them through time to either 1937 during the Great Depression, 1944 during World War II, or 1962 during the Space Race. The tour includes John's bedroom, staged as it was when he was 16 years old, with model airplanes and a rope bed with feather mattress showing where his dreams of aviation were born. The Annie Gallery displays handwritten notes from her speech therapy work, family artifacts including her grandmother's turn-of-the-century wedding dress, and gifts exchanged between Annie and John throughout their marriage. Tours average about an hour. Children under 5 receive free admission, active or retired military personnel enter free, and all students receive free admission on Sundays. The museum is located in New Concord, Ohio. Admission prices are published at johnandannieglennmuseum.org.
