The museum rotates between three historical periods—1937 during the Great Depression, 1944 during World War II, and 1962 during the Space Race—allowing repeat visitors to experience different eras. On the top floor, John's bedroom is staged as it was when he was sixteen, displaying model airplanes and a rope bed with feather mattress that evoke his early dreams of flight. The Annie Gallery showcases her life and legacy through handwritten speech therapy notes, family artifacts including her grandmother's turn-of-the-century wedding dress, and gifts exchanged between the couple.
